Residential Carpet Cleaning (Including Astroturf Cleaning) CGII Site Operating Procedures

- Tend to Corporate (or personal) Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
- Define and isolate the work area(s).
- As heat is a requirement for effective stain removal, ideally schedule any outdoor operations when warmer ambient temperature is planned (~11:00 am to ~1:00 pm). This will allow the work area to be heated so the stains are easier to remove.
- Confirm the presence of a heated carpet or astroturf cleaner. Fluids must be in the 125 to 185 Fahrenheit range to effectively remove stains. The hotter the fluid, the easier it is to clean the carpet or astroturf.
- Spot treat the staining and astroturf markings with CleanGo Fabric and Carpet. Allow the emulsification to occur for 10 – 20 minutes. Stubborn stains such as dyed pop or permanent marker may require working with a Scotch Brite sponge, a pole-connected scrub brush, or equivalent agitator deemed acceptable to the cleaning surface.
- Based on site-specific observations, mix the CleanGo Fabric and Carpet in the treatment tank with fresh water. We have witnessed success removing with 8 – 9 fluid ounces per 200 square feet in residential testing.
- Treat the area with the heat engaged, working stubborn stains with heavy-traffic settings.
- For outdoor astroturf lawns and field coverings, areas can be treated with CleanGo Carpet and Fabric slip-streamed into a pressure washer with warm water being feedstock (e.g., hot water and chemical mixed in a tub and sump-pump fed into the pressure washer intake).
- Upon removal of the stain, neutralize the emulsification process with a straight water extraction (e.g., no chemical being added). At times, three or four rinse cycles may be required if the carpet is lighter in color. The emulsification process is aggressive and can cause underlay staining to be pulled into the carpet before the carpet dries (e.g., capillary forces).
- Air dry the working area with a blower immediately after treating.
