Brewery and Winery Vat and Line Cleaning CGII Site Operating Procedures

- Tend to Corporate Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
- Define and isolate the work area(s). Vats are to be locked-out/tagged ‘out of service’ during the cleaning.
- Gravity drain lines and vats of service fluids.
- Using a pressure washer (or established hard piping), rinse vats of residual solids using fresh water.
- Open the vat access hatch and apply CleanGo Industrial (DIN #02509180) to the vat internals. Depending on the vat diameter, this can be applied with a manual spray bottle or a pressure washer with CleanGo Industrial (already diluted) as the feedstock. It is important to coat all internals to neutralize the bacteria.
- Let sit for 5 – 10 minutes and rinse with fresh water.
- Use bacterial strips on the rinse water returns to confirm the vats are clean.
- If required, re-apply CleanGo Industrial until returns evidence the acceptable thresholds as established by brewery/vineyard management.
- With the lines, consider the diameter of the line(2, 3, 4 and 6” are common) and if pigging options are available.
- Discuss with engineering to determine application process.
- After the treatment, flush lines with fresh water, or with a designated fluid establish by brewery management.
- Once cleaned, restore the equipment to operational use.
