Industrial Residential Mold Neutralization CGII Site Operating Procedures

  • Tend to Corporate (or personal) Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements.
  • Define and isolate the work area(s).
  • If unexposed, expose the mold through surface fixture removal (drywall, roof, carpentry, etc.).
  • If required by regulation, remove mold-contaminated insulation and lumber and dispose of it in an environmentally accepted manner.
  • If the mold is stemming from a leak, make mechanical repairs prior to treating.
  • Treat the area with CleanGo Industrial (DIN #02509180) and let the chemical dry. It is important to coat all externals to neutralize the bacteria.
  • A second or tertiary application may be stipulated by the project owner.
  • It is important to coat all construction externals to neutralize the mold growth.
  • Leave the work area open for one to three days to ensure drying and provide visual confirmation of no additional mold growth. The contractor, homeowner, inspector, or equivalent designate shall assess the treatment for acceptability.
  • Make cosmetic repairs to the surface infrastructure.
  • Return the work area to service.
  • Should the mold be on the exterior of the home, remove superficial mold growth to expose the base material.
  • Spray the exterior material with fresh water to remove residual debris.
  • Spray the exterior metal with CleanGo Industrial (DIN #02509180) and let the chemical dry. It is important to coat all externals to neutralize the mold growth.
  • A second or tertiary application may be stipulated by the project owner.
  • Allow the area to dry and then return to service.
  • For topical residential molds (such as those found in showers), remove the available mold with mechanical means and flush the work area with fresh water.
  • Apply CleanGo Industrial (DIN #02509180) and let the chemical dry. It is important to coat all externals to neutralize the bacteria.
  • At the discretion of the homeowner, CleanGo Industrial may be used to remove soap scum from shower walls and the access door. After application through a handheld sprayer, allow the chemical to sit for 5 minutes, scrub with a mild abrasive Scotch Brite sponge (or equivalent), and rinse with water.
  • Allow the area to dry and then return to service.
